Scottish partner schools are continuing to raise fantastic amounts of money for their partner schools in Kenema, Sierra Leone. In June, Airyhall Primary School, Aberdeen raised nearly £1000 which helped build 80 benches/desks and 2 blackboards for S.L.C Primary School in Kenema town. Pictured left are some of the children enjoying their new benches and desks at S.L.C. in December. Meanwhile, St Gerardine School, Moray have raised £550 for the National Islamic Primary School of Kenema town and Shapinsay Primary School, Orkney Isles have raised £340 for Karonkor Primary School, Kenema District. Karonkor will be getting a new school bell, sporting equipments and benches and desks in the new year.
The above developments are fantastic examples of how GRM-SL's school linking programme is helping schools in Sierra Leone.
