GRM-SL opened an ICT centre in its Freetown and Kenema office in May and is now providing quality computer training to over 50 youth each month in programmes including MS Word, Excel and Publisher.
The 15 computers being used in the centres are courtesy of a donation from Computer Aid with shipment costs covered by Orkney Independent Financial Advisors.

The construction of the 2 classroom building at S.L.C. Primary School, Kenema is now finally complete and a handing over ceremony was held in June to formally open the building. The ceremony was attended by various Kenema stakeholders including the Mayor and a representative from the Ministry of Education.
The funds to do the work were covered by the fundraising efforts of Airyhall Primary School, Aberdeen, Scotland.

Koranko Primary School, Kenema District received a donation of 15 benches and desks in May. They will be used by the pupils of primary 1 and 2, who previously had to sit on the ground.
The donation comes as a result of the fundraising efforts of Shapinsay Community Primary School, Orkney Isles, Scotland.

Progress is continuing on the Lumley Car Wash Project with the ground now cemented. The project is anticipated to be complete by October 2009.
This project is in partnership with Child at Venture.

| GRM-SL has held 2 workshops in May and June for the Feed the Minds Critical Literacy project in Kenema District. The workshops, on the themes 'Poems and Emotions' and 'Political Writing and Persuasion,'marks the end of the six month project.
