Feb 08: GRM-SL run child rights workshop GRM-SL has been working with 6 schools in Lumley and Aberdeen, Western Freetown to promote global citizenship/child rights education. A workshop was held for representatives of the schools between Wed 20th - Fri 22nd Feb to share knowledge and ideas in promoting child rights and responsibilities
Jan 08: Amputee help Members of the Birsay Church, Orkney Islands, Scotland, have raised money for the women of the Amputee and War Wounded Association, Kenema district. The donation will go to a small agricultural project

| Dec 07: GRM-SL secures partnership with STAR4AFRICA GRM-SL, in collaboration with STAR4AFRICA, will be running a 6 months street children outreach programme in Kenema district. We will be providing football training, counselling, informal education and feeding to 20 street boys twice a week. We will also be working with girl child commercial sex workers. Programme due to begin March 08

Oct 07: GRM-SL launches a Kids Rights Pikin Rights School Network GRM-SL begins a global citizenship education programme with 8 schools in Kenema district. Every two weeks project officers from GRM-SL visit each school and conducts lessons with classes. The aim of the project is to make children and teachers more aware of children's rights and responsibilites
Oct 07: GRM-SL's school partnership scheme begins Three schools in Scotland are now paired up with schools in Sierra Leone. The aim of the partnership is to raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, increase cross-cultural communication and understanding and create a united front amongst children in Scotland and Sierra Leone.
Sep 07: GRM-SL recieves funds from the S.A.F.E foundation to open a 'MAMA EDUCATE' cookery shop GRM-SL recieves funds to open a small cookery shop in Kenema town. All profits of the cookery shop will go to a scholarship scheme for underpriviledged children. At present there are delays in the construction due to land dispute. We hope to find a solution soon for the pikin of Sierra Leone!
