We ask each international volunteer to fundraise the following amount for their time with us in Sierra Leone
1 month - £1000
2 months - £1500
3 months - £2000
*Please add £150 for each additional month thereafter
This donation covers the following:
Travel advice and assistance
Accommodation (including bed sheets and a pillow)
A daily evening meal (rice with a sauce)
Freetown pick up and transport to the project site
Local introductions and tours
Administration and processing costs
A donation to the various projects you will be working on during your stay
Ongoing support and guidance from project staff
The donation does not cover:
Flights
Travel Insurance
Mosquito net
Immunization
Transfer from Lungi airport to Aberdeen, West Freetown (hovercraft, speedboat or helicopter)
Breakfast, lunch and snacks
Water, soft drinks, beverages
Toiletries including toilet paper
Cleaning detergents such as washing up liquid
Emergency evacuation costs
Internet
Telephone
Entertainment costs
Any other personal costs such as entertainment, medical treatment, non-work related travel costs
